Hospital Policies

To allow ample time for all patients and scheduled surgical procedures, we operate by appointment only. Emergency cases shall always receive top priority, which is why occasional appointment delay is inevitable. Please realize that we make a sincere attempt to see each client on time.

Please be aware that if you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment you might be asked to reschedule so we do not make the appointment that arrived on time have to wait.

If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment we ask that you follow our cancellation policy guidelines.

Per state requirements all pets must be vaccinated for rabies.

 

Patient Arrival Policy

Please check in with the front desk upon arrival and have a seat either in the waiting room or in your vehicle.

For the safety of all animals in our care, we require that all vaccinations be up to date. Even though we make every effort to make our patients feel comfortable during visits, they may be a little uneasy about new people, new surroundings and other pets. This is one of the reasons we ask you to restrain your pet. It is required that all animals be placed on a leash or in pet carriers before entering the waiting room.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur and that clients may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Please keep in mind when a patient does not attend a scheduled appointment, another patient loses an opportunity to be seen. 

To allow our veterinarians to provide comprehensive and high quality care to our patients the following policies are followed:

  • If a patient arrives more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, Carr Island Animal Hospital has the right to cancel that appointment and charge a $25.00 late cancellation fee.
  • A scheduled appointment must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance, or the client will incur a $25.00 late cancellation fee.
  • A late cancellation may be rescheduled to avoid the cancellation fee if the appointment is made within the next 2 weeks
  • Should a patient miss two consecutive appointments without calling to cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours in advance, the client will be required to prepay the examination fee prior to rescheduling any future appointments. The fee will be forfeited if the appointment is missed.

Payment Policy

 

We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cash and personal checks.
